Nordmann, Şimşek and Miribung are the three voices of TRËI; the trio sings and performs in theater productions, concert projects and interdisciplinary collaborations. TRËI creates adventurous vocal and instrumental music that revolves around the question of what it is to be human on our planet in motion. In their understanding as citizens of the world, the three women intertwine cultures and times, combine their different backgrounds: baroque and Bulgarian repertoire, classical and Caucasian choral sound, music from the East and West plus their own compositions. TRËI is based in Basel; the trio's name originates from Ladin, a Rhaeto-Romanic language from the Italian Alps.
